Techie nerd, recovering coach, reluctant on-camera creator, and the person who built psyrenne because she needed it.

Hi, I’m Billie
I’ve been building websites for over 25 years, starting back in the days of frames, FrontPage, and Dreamweaver. (Yes, I’m that old.) I’ve been an affiliate since Amazon was mostly selling books, and I used to organize and speak at WordCamp, the WordPress community’s conferences.
The speaking years
For a few years I ran a boutique marketing company and spoke at conferences across the country and overseas about affiliate marketing, social media strategy, SEO, WordPress, time management, and more. I loved the rooms full of people figuring things out together. I was known for a laid-back stage style: cowboy boots (I have quite the colorful collection), jeans, a crazy belt buckle, one of my many graphic tees (a favorite said “The hustle is real”), and a blazer thrown over the top. Business on top, me underneath.
Then I got divorced. Nevada is a 50/50 state, and I had no interest in buying my ex out of a business I built, so I closed it, along with my coaching sites. Not a failure, just a choice. I miss coaching, but I’m not going back.
Two grocery stores and a TikTok account
A single income in Las Vegas wasn’t cutting it anymore, so I moved to Arkansas, to a town with two grocery stores and a handful of restaurants. Boredom set in fast. I started posting on TikTok to pass the time, found out about TikTok Shop, and realized it was right up my alley.
Here’s the irony: I used to coach people on how important YouTube and video were, while avoiding the camera myself for years. So in June 2025, for my 55th birthday weekend, I picked the thing that scared me most and started filming. I built my account to be an affiliate, and now my basement is a studio. Next step: learning to be worthy of the setup.
The products I promote, I actually use

For years I fought a skin condition, and my makeup showed it: heavy, cakey, and somehow aging me ten years. (Thanks, past dermatologists, for absolutely nothing.) TikTok is where I finally found skincare that works for my skin, and makeup that sits right instead of sitting on top.
So when I post about a product, it’s because it earned a spot on my bathroom counter, not just my showcase. Both photos on this page are from the same shoot, back before TikTok fixed my routine. A “now” photo is coming, as soon as I brave the camera for something other than a product.
How psyrenne was born
I’ve wanted psyrenne since my very first month of filming, because I didn’t like the reporting in any of the video marketing apps I was using. My ideas were everywhere: sticky notes here, napkin sketches there, and plans spread across more notebooks than I’d like to admit.
So I gave myself time. I learned the platforms, filmed, and figured out whether this was something I wanted to keep doing. At the end of 2025, after one too many reports that looked busy and told me nothing I could actually use, the answer was yes. I gathered up every sticky note, napkin, and notebook, brought it all together in one place, and psyrenne was born.
Why I’m here
What I love most is helping people and watching them grow, and growing right alongside them. No matter how much experience someone has, you always learn something, about the work or about yourself. That’s the whole point of psyrenne and Tide Pool for me: not a stage, not a course, just a community of creators who share what’s working and cheer each other on.
I’m not an expert video affiliate… yet. And even when I know a lot more than I do today, I won’t go back to coaching. I loved it, but that part of my life is in the past. What I want now is simple: to be part of a community of like-minded creators, learning and growing together. I’m a creator with a day job, a basement studio, and a lot of systems, building in public. If that sounds like your kind of people, pull up a chair.
