For every 100 “things” the psyrenne crew does, someone gets a key. That key opens a treasure chest of free AI credits. Yes, really. Using psyrenne is now a little bit of a game.

The hunt starts when psyrenne launches. During the beta, earning is paused, so the first keys turn up the day psyrenne opens to everyone.
What is the treasure hunt?
It’s a community-wide hunt for free credits. psyrenne counts everything members do: adding a sample, writing a script, echoing a video, saving a plan, posting in Tide Pool, all of it. Every 100th action, a 🗝️ key turns up for whoever did the one that tipped it over. Think about those game shows we (or at least I) watched as kids, where someone won a free grocery shopping trip, and confetti fell from the ceiling. No confetti here, just a key that pops up and opens the treasure chest for a surprise 10 to 50 credits.
It could be you on a Tuesday night logging a sample. It could be someone across the country posting a win in Tide Pool. Nobody knows who’s next, and that’s the fun part.
Why it’s there
Because psyrenne works best when you actually use it, and a little surprise makes the boring parts (looking at you, sample deadlines) feel less boring. It also means every member’s work helps everyone’s odds. The more the crew does, the more keys turn up.

How it works
- Use psyrenne like you normally would. Every save, add, generate, or post counts toward the next key.
- When the crew hits the next 100, whoever did the 100th thing gets a pop-up: 🗝️ You found a key!
- Tap Open the chest to get your credits right away, or Save it for later. A saved key pops up again the next time you open psyrenne.
- Your credits go straight into your bank, where earned credits never expire.

The chest refills every month
The chest holds a set number of credits each month, and it refills on the 1st. If the crew empties it before the month is over, any key found after that still works: just keep it until the chest refills.

The Treasure hunt page
Open Treasure Chest → Treasure hunt in the menu to see:
- How many more actions it takes to get the next key, and how full the chest is.
- Your own hunt so far: keys found and credits won.
- Each month’s results: how many things the crew did, keys found, chests opened, credits won, the biggest win, and the winners.
Winners are shown by their Tide Pool name. If you haven’t set one, you’ll show as “A crew member,” so your real name and email never appear on the list.
Good to know
- Fair play: one member can find up to 3 keys a month and 1 a day. If the lucky action belongs to someone who’s at their limit, the key waits for the next member who isn’t.
- Spamming buttons won’t help. Keys are for real use, and the limits keep things fair for everyone.
- Testers open the chest too: finish the end-of-week tester survey with thoughtful answers, and the chest opens for you.
- Treasure chest credits are earned credits, so they work like the rest of your bank. How earned credits work.
✍️ Billie: check the Earn credits link once that article is published, and the chest size you want to mention (1,000 credits a month right now, set in Admin).
Still improving: tell me what you’d change
Ideas for the hunt? Extra keys for milestones and a cheer in Tide Pool when someone opens the chest are already on my list. Tell me what else would make it fun with Send to Billie on the Earn credits page in the app.
